Following on from recent violence in Euston, we are concerned about the safety of vulnerable young people in our community, we also know there is immense talent and ambition amongst the young people who are at risk. To respond to this, we are partnering with local charity, Camden Giving, to trial a Young People’s Employment Programme.

They are currently looking for businesses who have capacity to support a young person on a 3 month work placement. The young person will receive support from a local youth service and the staff at the business will be trained and supported throughout. We hope that at the end of the period there will be an opportunity for them to become part of your team on a permanent basis, subject to how they have performed.

Our support towards this programme means that young people will be paid London Living Wage whilst on the programme, but Camden Giving are asking businesses to make a contribution of £2,100 towards the cost of training their staff.

If your business would like to be a part of this innovative programme by hosting a young person, please get in touch with Natasha, natasha@camdengiving.org.uk.
